Act Four: Outside
The further adventures of the Archer family
outside ordinary space!

The first hardback some kid buys for himself
Could be a story trove from H.G. Wells,
In which that author substitutes machines
For human plots and intricate schemes,
But doesn't try to smash into the past
Like some who mix fiction with science facts,

Which authors' jumping trope of time travel,
Causes their entire yarns to unravel,
Since time isn't a constant (see Einstein)
Or a path to skip on, but its design,
And story, no matter what it rides in,
Drives a road traveling one direction.
