A sports car heading north with the top down races along the Pacific Coast Highway. Philco Farnsworth is driving, Mrs. Veronica Lamar-Riverdale is riding shotgun, and her niece is in the back seat.

PHILCO: Kynaston is asleep. Looks like the mild sedative you gave her did the trick.

VERONICA: Mild sedative? I'm a radio wave specialist, not a doctor! I gave her about three shots of Kentucky bourbon. Anyway, I hope she recovers from the horror she witnessed, poor kid!
PHILCO: What I saw was a cabal of glowing creatures removing a girl's brain and spine through an incision in the back of her neck, as if they were sucking them through a straw!

PHILCO: It was an illusion, wasn't it? Experienced through the alien template you provided, Randi was horribly murdered, but to a human, it was a young girl sexually assaulted by corporate fiends--another day at the office! I'm a bit confused: is this even science?

VERONICA: Maybe I should get you caught up on a crucial turning point in biology that occurred one-and-a-half billion years ago.
